Volunteer Opportunities
The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law is a collaborative, educational, non-profit organization dedicated to the scholarly and practical study of the laws and regulations relating to natural resources.
Over the last half-century, the voluntary efforts of our members have built the Foundation into a global learning community of colleagues and friends, known worldwide for its expertise, objectivity, practicality, scholarship, and collegiality. The Foundation wants to know if you are interested in volunteering to serve on one of our committees or writing for one of our publications.
Our publications set the Foundation apart as an organization that provides practical, scholarly, and relevant legal information to natural resources lawyers and other professionals. Writing for a publication is a great way to highlight your expertise to a broad audience.
Committees are part of the core of the Foundation’s mission to engage natural resource and energy law professionals around education and scholarship in a collegial environment. Committees do much of the work of the Foundation, ranging from planning and organizing programs, to selecting scholarship recipients, improving natural resources and energy law education, and assisting with the implementation of our strategic plan, among many other important activities.
Committees appointments are made by the Foundation’s President and publications authors are selected when openings become available, taking into account the applications that have been submitted. To find out more about our committees or opportunities to write for the Foundation, click here.
