Special Offer
For those who attended one or both of the Foundation’s webinars on “The Supreme Court's Ruling in County of Maui: What Does It Mean for Water Practitioners?,” that was held on June 26, 2020, or “The Wonderful World of WOTUS: The Ever-Changing Meaning of Waters of the United States” that was held on July 2, 2020, we will credit your entire registration fee for those webinars against the registration fee for the Special Institute.
After more than a year of planning and incredible momentum, the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation was excited to host its first Water Law Institute on November 18-19, 2020, in San Diego, California, with our co-sponsor, the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources. Out of concern for the health and safety of our registrants, speakers, and staff, continuing economic impacts from the pandemic, and our desire to hold the best Institute we can, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the next in-person Water Law Institute to November 4-5, 2021.
In the meantime, the Foundation and SEER want to stay connected with the water law community and continue to offer meaningful programming. We are excited to announce that we will hold a shortened version of the Water Law Institute virtually in 2020.
Water is a critical and finite resource, and water management impacts all aspects of environmental and resource law. In an era of limited supply and increasing demand, knowledge of the emerging issues in water law is a must, not only for water law practitioners, but for all environmental and resource professionals. In place of the in-person institute, this virtual Water Law Institute will provide 4 hours of CLE for only $175 for Foundation and ABA members, $215 for government, nonprofit, and law faculty, and $235 for nonmembers. Our distinguished speakers will provide insight and analysis of key water law topics, including interjurisdictional water disputes, global water stress, dam removal and fish recovery, and tribal water use.
