President Biden offered U.S. voters a different vision of energy policy from Former President Trump, focused on addressing the threat of climate change. Since entering the White House, he aims to set the U.S. on a course for net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and has brought the U.S. back into the Paris climate agreement. Whether he will be able to deliver on this agenda may be limited by a divided Senate and market forces. Regardless, the shift in policy will have implications at home and abroad for oil and gas and mining development and for the environment. A panel of international policy forecasters will speak on the potential implications of the Biden Administration's policies on the climate and energy and what those policies mean for global extractives development and trade and international climate agreements.
