CONTRIBUTE TO THE FOUNDATION’S SCHOLARSHIP
AND OTHER PROGRAMS
The Foundation is not just an education provider. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization that supports natural resources and energy law education at law schools through student scholarships, reimbursement of travel to attend Foundation programs, research grants, and the funding of innovative programs. Since the inception of our scholarship programs, we have awarded more than $4.0 million in scholarships to students with an interest in the field of natural resources and energy law, but we need your help to continue these programs!
There are many different ways to support these programs!
Honor Someone in Perpetuity – The Legacy Scholarship Fund
Donors may recognize a leader, Foundation member, or other living or deceased contributor to the natural resources, energy, and mineral law community in perpetuity by making a gift alone or with others in a combined amount of $30,000 or more. The honoree will be recognized with their biography and picture on our website and in the materials provided to scholarship recipients.
All the funds that honor someone in the Legacy Scholarship Fund will be restricted for scholarships to law students who express an interest in natural resources or energy law. The Foundation has a diligent Scholarships Committee that evaluates every applicant for their interest in the field, their leadership ability, and their financial need.
Honor Someone With a Stand-Alone Scholarship Fund
Donors who wish to honor a living or deceased leader, Foundation member, or other contributor to the natural resources, energy, and mineral law community in perpetuity with a stand-alone endowment or other fund may do so with a gift alone or with others in a combined amount of $150,000 or more. The Foundation can work with donors who establish stand-alone funds in a flexible manner to establish customized restrictions on gifts so that scholarships or awards are further limited to specific groups of students or scholars with qualifications consistent with the wishes of the donors or honorees.
Support the Foundation’s Scholarship Programs With a Restricted Gift
Those who wish to contribute to the Foundation’s scholarships programs may make a contribution in any amount to the Foundation’s General Scholarship Fund. All contributions to the General Scholarship Fund will be restricted for student scholarships to law students who express an interest in natural resources or energy law.
Support for Other Purposes
If you or your organization desires to make a gift to the Foundation to support our other programs, such as our student travel program, grants to professors, or our nonprofit mission of providing the highest quality natural resources and energy law education and scholarship at the lowest possible cost consistent with our mission, please contact us.
